We are Colchester Road Baptist Church

We are a community of believers who meet regularly to worship together as a church family.

We meet every Sunday at 10:30am and again 6.30pm at our premises on Colchester Road and have a range of midweek activities for all the family.

Our Sunday meetings usually are relaxed and contemporary in style and include sung worship, led by a band, and prayer about the things that are affecting us and those around us.

In the morning our young people and children leave part way through to meet in their own smaller groups, where they can worship God, support each other and learn in age appropriate ways.

The adults then read God's word (the Bible) together and a speaker (normally our minister, Neal Smith) will explore and explain God’s word to us and how it can be applied to our lives. These talks are available to listen to each week from the 'Sermons' page.

Meet the leadership team...

We believe that:

1. Jesus Christ is Lord of all.
2. The bible is the ‘Word of God’ inspired by God’s Spirit.
3. Baptism should be a choice because of belief and should be by immersion.
4. That church is a body of believers who meet to worship together,
to serve together and to tell others about Jesus.
5. That everyone who joins us has a part to play, using their individual gifts and talents, in the life of the church.
6. That all believers have a responsibility to tell others about the Good news of Jesus.

If you have any questions about us, Christians, or anything else, we would love to hear from you.
